1. Reach Out
Complete our contact form or email us with your name, state of residence, what you're hoping to work on, and any preferences you have regarding a therapist or insurance.
2. We'll Get Back to You
Because our clinicians are actively providing care throughout the week, we may not be able to answer phone calls immediately. Email and our contact form are the quickest ways to reach us. We'll respond within with next steps and available consultation times.
3. Schedule a Consultation
We'll schedule a brief consultation call at a mutually convenient time. This is an opportunity to talk about what you're looking for, ask questions, and determine whether Wild Empowerment may be a good fit.
4. Find the Right Clinician
If you don't already have a particular clinician in mind, we'll help determine which member of our team may be the best fit based on your needs, preferences, availability, and insurance.
5. Decide Whether to Move Forward
The consultation is not a commitment to ongoing therapy. If it feels like we're a good fit, we'll discuss scheduling your first appointment and completing the necessary intake paperwork.
6. Begin Therapy
Once your intake paperwork is completed, you'll meet with your clinician for your initial therapy appointment and begin developing goals and a treatment plan together!
Do I have to commit to therapy after the consultation?
Of course not! The consultation is simply an opportunity to determine whether the practice and/or clinician feel like a good fit.
How long is the consultation?
Consultation calls are typically between 10-15 minutes and are meant to give you a chance to share a bit about your needs. It also allows you to gain a sense of the practice, our "vibe" and if we may be the right place for you!
Can I request a specific therapist?
Absolutely. You can let us know who you're interested in working with when you contact us.
What if I don't know which therapist is right for me?
That's okay. We'll help you determine which clinician may be the best fit based on your needs and the clinicians strengths!
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we are in network with most commercial plans as well as Connecticut Medicaid. We also offer a sliding scale (reduced rate) to keep therapy accessible for those who need financial support.
Can't I just call the office?
Yes, but because we're actively in sessions most days, we may not be able to answer or return calls immediately. Email/our contact form is the quickest way to connect!
